Vacancy: Senior Business Controller
We’re looking for you
As a Senior Business Controller at Boat Bike Tours, you help ensure that our financial insights, forecasts and analyses support smart decisions across the business. You combine analytical strength with business understanding, turning numbers into clear, actionable insights. In this role, you act as a bridge between strategy, day-to-day operations and financial performance.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain P&L, cash flow and performance forecasts
- Lead the budgeting and planning cycle: annual and multi-year budgets and plans
- Monitor and control gross margins, costs and profitability
- Act as a business partner for management and teams across the organization
- Translate strategic goals into clear KPIs and dashboards where needed
- Identify risks, opportunities and improvement areas
- Support investment decisions with financial analysis
- Initiate finance improvement and automation projects
- Work closely with your colleagues in the business in NL and abroad, the management team and the financial controller
Your team
You will be part of the Finance & Control team, which is getting ready for the future and is focused on insights, predictability and quality and driving sustainable growth.
What we’re looking for
- HBO+/WO background in Finance, Controlling or Business Economics (RC is a plus, not a must)
- At least 8 years of experience in Business Control and/or FP&A
- Affinity in data, dashboarding and tooling
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate numbers into clear insights and advice
- A proactive, hands-on mindset: you spot opportunities and take ownership
- A true team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues across departments and countries
- Comfortable working in an international, dynamic environment
- Fluent in English (Dutch and/or German is a strong plus)
- Ambition to grow towards a future leadership / management role
